QRVault Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 16/08/2026
1. Purpose and acceptance
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the QRVault application, developed by CraftingBits. By downloading, installing or using the app, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
If you use the app on behalf of a company or organisation, you declare that you have the authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. Minimum age
The app is intended for users who are at least 16 years old. If you are under that age, you must not use the app. If you are between 16 and the legal age of majority in your country, you must have the consent of your parent or legal guardian, who will be responsible for your use.
3. Licence to use
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on your own devices, solely for personal and non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms. Selling, renting, redistributing or any unauthorised commercial use of the app is prohibited.
4. Intellectual property
The app, its code, design, brands and content belong to CraftingBits and/or its licensors and are protected by intellectual and industrial property law. The content you generate and store locally in the app (saved codes, notes, organisation) is yours; since that content is stored on your device, it is not transferred or processed on our servers.
5. Permitted use and prohibitions
You agree to use the app lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. In particular, you may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, unless expressly permitted by law.
- Remove or alter intellectual property notices or trademarks.
- Use the app for unlawful, fraudulent or infringing activities.
- Attempt to damage, overload or interfere with the systems associated with the app.
6. Local user content
The data you generate in the app (scan history, notes, folder structure) is stored exclusively on your device. You are responsible for keeping copies if you wish: uninstalling the app or clearing its data will permanently delete that content, and we cannot recover it.
7. Third-party links and content
The app lets you read QR codes and open the content they contain. That content belongs to third parties and is not created, controlled or validated by us. A QR code may contain links to websites or files that are fraudulent or malicious (for example, phishing). We encourage you to be cautious before opening any scanned link. We are not responsible for third-party pages or services, nor for decisions you make based on a scanned code.
8. Advertising and privacy policy
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. The processing of your personal data, including advertising and the consent managed through the form shown when opening the app, is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, the absence of errors, compatibility with all devices or operating systems, or the accuracy of scanned content.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CraftingBits shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of profits or loss of local data, nor for consequences arising from decisions based on scanned QR code content (including fraudulent or malicious third-party links). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that, under applicable law, cannot be excluded or limited, in particular towards consumers.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you breach these Terms, without prejudice to other legal consequences. Upon termination of the licence, you must stop using and uninstall the app. Provisions that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, limitation of liability, governing law) will remain in force.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Any change will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. If the change is substantial, we will notify you in-app before it takes effect. Continued use of the app after the changes implies acceptance.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute arising from them shall be submitted to the courts that are competent under Spanish law, without prejudice to the rights you have as a consumer under the applicable protection legislation in your country of residence (in particular within the European Union).
